National 4-H Cornbread Cook-Off Entry Deadline
Event Description
Get ready to celebrate the creativity and culinary skills of our 4-H youth! The 2026 National Cornbread Festival is calling, and Hardin County 4-Hers have the opportunity to compete in the National 4-H Cornbread Cook-Off!
Here’s what you need to know:
- Who can enter? All 4-H members in grades 4–6.
- What’s required? Submit an original cornbread recipe—no mixes allowed! Recipes must be cooked in Lodge Cast Iron and include complete instructions, measurements, and cookware details.
- Deadline: All entries must be submitted to Hardin County 4-H by February 20, 2026.
- Top 10 Finalists: Will compete LIVE at the National Cornbread Festival on Sunday, April 26, 2026, in South Pittsburg, TN.
- Prizes:
- 1st Place: $500 + Lodge Cast Iron gifts
- 2nd Place: $250 + gifts
- 3rd Place: $100 + gifts
- Honorable Mentions: $50 + gifts
- Travel allowance for those traveling over 100 miles!
This is an incredible opportunity for Hardin County youth to showcase their talents on a national stage. Encourage your members to submit their best, most creative cornbread recipes and represent Hardin County with pride!
